UZDOC "Improving the Quality of Doctoral Education in Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan" in the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service in 2016 / Tempus of the European Union (UZDOC - EC Tempus Structural Measures grant agreement number 544134-TEMPUS-1 -2013-1 BE-TEMPUS-SMGR) is continuing its activity.
On February 2-3, 2016, the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Services hosted a roundtable discussion on the topic of "Improve the quality of doctoral studies in Uzbekistan" by the Tempus project UZDOC. Representatives of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, HEI representatives, as well as representatives from the Ministries of Belgium, Slovenia, Spain, Poland, Croatia and Greece. During the meeting, they familiarized themselves with the work done to develop doctoral studies in Uzbekistan and considered the proposals.
On July 4-5, 2016, the UZDOC project participates in the Tashkent Institute of Arts and Culture. The participants of the UZDOC project made presentations and presentations on the work done and the development of doctorate education in Uzbekistan. The seminar was attended by Vice Rector for Science, Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service D. Aslanova, Vice-Rector for academic lyceum and colleges Tashnazarov, Head of International Relations Department Kadirova and Methodist Sh. Ochilov took part.
November 24, 2016 within the framework of the Tempus UZDOC project, the opening ceremony of the Research Center for Senior Researchers at the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Services was held. The Center is equipped with modern computer technologies of 16,922.00 Euro. Opening ceremony was attended by UNICA Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe and Project Coordinator Chris Dejinjiri, Assistant General Coordinator Martha Vasovska and Professor Zagreb University Melita Kovachevich and Slaven Mihailovic. During the visit the guests met with several students, teachers and independent researchers of the Institute. During the interview, both sides received answers to their questions. The solemn opening of the Center for Assistance of Senior Researchers by D.Aslanova, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Chief Coordinator of the project K.Deijeren. Within the framework of the project, a research paper on improving the quality of doctoral education in Uzbekistan was published and a booklet on its improvement was published.
In 2018, the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Services has launched the three-year project called "Improving the quality of doctoral education in Uzbekistan" by the Erasmus + program UZDOC-2.
On February 5-9, the Tashkent Chemical Technology Institute hosted the next round of Erasmus + UZDOC 2 project "Improving the quality of doctoral education in Uzbekistan". Representatives of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, representatives of universities, as well as representatives from the Ministries of Belgium, Spain, Italy and Hungary attended the seminar. At the meeting, a workshop on quality control and training for doctoral students and managers was held. The seminar was attended by Vice Rector for Science Dilbar Aslanova, Head of International Relations Department Shahnoza Kadirova and PhDs Zahidov, Safarov Farhad and Sabirov Babur.
On May 14-15th, the head of the department of international relations of the institute Sh.Kadirova, doctoral PhD F.Safarov and F.Zahidov held a seminar within the project "Improving the quality of doctoral education in Uzbekistan" by Erasmus + UZDOC-2 in Turin Polytechnic University in Italy. The seminar was dedicated to cooperation with European universities and business enterprises.
From September 3-7, 2018, a workshop on Job Shadowing Week in Granada University was planned. Vice-rector for Research and Innovations D.Aslanova and Designer of International Relations Department V.Uzakova were sent to Granada University in Spain. The main purpose of the training was to study the activities of the Graduate Support Center at Granada University.
On October 1-2 this year, Tashkent Financial Institute hosted the next round of Erasmus + UZDOC 2 project "Improving the quality of doctoral education in Uzbekistan". Representatives of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, representatives of HEIs, representatives of universities of Belgium, Croatia, Spain, Italy, Austria, D.Aslanova, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, and V.Uzakova, International Relations Officer participated in the seminar. In the course of the meeting were discussed the work plans of UZDOC 2 project, implemented on UZDOC 1 project, to improve the quality of doctoral education in Uzbekistan from 2013 to 2016. During the year recommendations on improving the quality of doctoral studies have been developed.
During the current year, under the project KA 107 of the Erasmus + program, students and professors-teachers exchanged with Granada University in Spain. Students of the institute were invited to participate in the project contests. Within the framework of the CA 107 project, Mamurjonov Shohrux, 3rd year student of the Faculty of Finance, returned to study at the Granada University in Spain in the 2017-2018 academic year.
